In My Eyes.....

She is one of the truest friends I got in my life. She is also the closest (even literally since we live in the same house). She's the best friend I ever had. She is none other than JC and I fondly call her, Jo.

We were officemates in the Philippines. We became close when her work station was temporarily transferred beside me because of some renovations in the office. We became bestfriends in an instant. It's like 'lukso ng dugo'. :-) (We were four in the group, hence, we were called as F4-me, Jo, ID & PC. Soon, i'll be blogging how our friendship started. Meantime, this post will be all about Jo)

Jo is very simple yet very sensible. I'd like the way she handles every situation. She is my confidante. She knows everything about me. Her opinion matters to me. She is also the kindest and the most patient person I know. She never get tired of me (especially when I have tantrums). She's always there for me. She's a constant reminder that I am so blessed by God.

I love her so much. I remember I did plan to be a 'matchmaker' between a cousin of mine and her just so she will become part of our family officially and legally. hehe. But changed my mind, my cousin is 'maloko' kasi. Of course, what I want is the best man for my best friend. And she finally found this best man. She deserves all the best in this life.

I'm gonna miss her. I can't imagine my life (here in Dubai) without her. I don't want to focus how lonely will I become when that time comes. What matters to me now is how happy my best friend is, anticipating and looking forward another beautiful phase in her life.

With this, i volunteered myself to be her wedding planner. :-) And I took this duty so seriously. hahaha. This week, i started collecting ideas and presenting them to the bride-to-be for approval. I am highly involved in the selections of wedding songs, bridal gown, photo shoot for their AVP Dubai scenes and all the pre-wedding activities. I am also in-charge in making the bride-to-be glowing in her wedding. Jo & I had never been a fan of any vanity clinic. But as part of wedding preparation, I convinced and booked Jo for some beauty sessions - moroccan bath, spa, bleaching etc. She agreed on one condition, that is, for me to join her. Hahaha, very clever of her, she knows I'm not into it as well. I am also strictly watching her diet (i promised to join her starting May, i also need this for i currently weigh almost 60kgs! whooaah my heaviest weight as far as I can remember!). We also resume our 'walking session at night' whenever we are available.

I'm expecting to have hectic schedules in the coming days. I've been so busy and coordinating here and there. I was so grateful when JM, a friend/officemate who just got married, willingly shared those important details she knows in a wedding. She also gave me all her wedding magazines (6 nos.) as 'pamana' daw. hahaha. This weekend, Jo & I need to go through to all these magazines and maybe we can finalize the concept of their wedding. Plus before I forget, i need to shortlist wedding songs (from more than a thousand songs, i trimmed down the selection to 200 songs) and download them for the couple final selection approval.

I also managed to close a deal for their pre-nuptial photo shoot- Dubai scence (through the help of my friends/officemates. thanks so much RS & JM!). Jo is one camera-shy person (ayaw na ayaw niya ang nagpo-pose sa pic). She said, she will never consider having a photo shoot had i not been so excited when i presented the idea to her. hahaha..nakuha sa aking convincing power. She told me she will ask her fiance about it. After one day (which is today 20 Apr 2010), Jo informed me that her fiance is okay with the idea so, they will do it. :-)

While doing all these, i am simultaneously planning for a surprise bridal shower. I wanted it to be memorable and enjoyable experience to her (i'm thinking of hiring a professional macho dancer or as suggested by a friend, AB, we can ask our gay friend WN who's a 'showgirl' to be our special guest, but in his 'macho' look..hehe). I am secretly talking to other friends of Jo to make this possible. They got excited upon hearing this plan. I am super excited too! :-)
