My 1st Anniversary Blogpost

Just the mere thought of me writing my 1st anniversary post gives me so much excitement and joy. And today, i am actually doing/realizing this much-awaited personal dream/fantasy! How much more I could get excited?!!

For once after a very long flight from Manila (10 hours), i do not feel jetlag. I was back here in Dubai yesterday at 5pm. My one-month vacation in the Philippines is over but I'm far from being/feeling homesick (atleast for now). :-)

I am writing real-time a.k.a. diary-style which is a not-so-characteristic of a writer. I write whatever comes in my mind in a current time without a particular order. Just like this entry.

I am aware, i am not a good writer (but striving and determined to be one). I actually have some blogposts which I do not like and never attempted to read after they were published .(masakit mang tanggapin, parang ikinakahiya ko ang sarili kong gawa? konting-konti siguro. hehe.) But if you look deep inside me, you will see a proud individual who is very satisfied with all her writing works/masterpieces. :-)

I consider blogging as one of the highlights in my life. I greatly love reading eversince but never did it cross in my mind that one day i would be reading my own writings. (whooaahh, i must tell you, it's a breathtaking experience! hahaha)

Let me share/count some of my blog statistics after one year in the blogosphere:

1 membership in a blog organization (i'm proud to be a Kablogs member)

3 blogrolls (LordCM, Chookminder, Deconstructing Dubai)

157 blogposts (excluding this entry)

95 comments (including 3 unmoderated comments & 1 spam* comment)

Thanks to all the bloggers who willingly gave their comments here---RJ, Bogcess, The Pope, Al de Cruz, Francesca, anonymous and most especially to LordCM. almost 90% of my comments came from LordCM!

*i was not aware that this spam exists hence, i wasn't able to read/approve 1 comment from LordCM.

I know that the above statistics is not that promising. But they are more than numbers to me, for what they giving me is an uncountable happiness! :-)

Looking Back on my 1st blogpost

I used to be a fearful person. I was afraid of everything and anything. I was afraid to take risks and to try something new. If there is one word that i like so much- it is the word 'courage', mainly because of my resentment to fear. I don't want fears to interfere with my life. For so long, i have been chasing the word courage. I remember i even used this word as a password on several accounts before . It was like a mantra. Right now, I am very happy to say that i am living my life with full of courage. I'm no longer afraid of fears for I have already mastered it. :-)
