Solitaire

I have been single for the longest time. My family and friends are getting worried that I might end up being a spinster. They would always remind me I'm not getting any younger anymore. And my recorded reply: I'm only 28, I don't think that's old. :-) Besides, it's my ultimate dream to have a good family of my own and one day, this will be realized (that's with full of conviction.lol.) My ex-boss in the Philippines once said I need to pray hard for that one true love. Maybe, i really did not yet pray for it. Honestly, I don't see being single forever as if it's the end of the world. I'm happy with my current status. Though when I see my friends happy with their better halves, I would agree- yeah, maybe it's much more happier when you have that special someone.

But wait, this post it's not about my being solitaire. It's about our new Solitaire Diamond Rings! Yes, you read it right- I and my friend JC got ourselves diamond rings. No, we're not engaged! (fyi, JC is a girl though might be really engaged soon with her bf G). We're also neither shopaholic (though we can be workaholic at times!). It was more than two years ago when we visited 'The Gold Souk' - also means The Gold Market. We went there just to have a good view of the place and just to play tourist. Then we spotted this one diamond ring and instantly fell in love with this ring like in LOTR (lol, i'm exaggerating). With curiosity and excitement, we asked its price. -end of story-. lol.

From then on, whenever we see solitaire diamond rings it always remind us that we have this unfinished business. It became a goal (together) that we need to achieve. On October 02, 2009 at approximately 7:00 pm in Deira City Centre, we finally fulfilled this goal. As JC put it, we deserved these rings that signify the fruits of our hard work and our labor of love. But more than that, i see these rings as a symbol of our friendship- a friendship that will outlast the test of times. In a way, these are our friendship engagement rings! :-)

Here's a glimpse of our Rings:
